I think you’re wanting to convey that 253 applicants is a suspicious number, because when compared to the number of active participants in the Validator Working Group, a group of early Cosmos validators formed in December 2014, the number is oddly high; more than triple, in fact, the number of participants in the group prior to GoS opening.
